Question by Kelly: What can I do to stop craving carbs?
I’m trying to eat well, but by the end of my work day I am finding that all I want to eat is carbs!

I don’t know if there a solution to stop the craving of carbs right away, but after a couple weeks of avoiding them the cravings stop. It took me about 2 weeks to get over a severe craving for soda. After that though I don’t even think about it.

    I know what you mean! The after work carb binge was my biggest diet crime.

    I tried various supplements, changing eating times etc, in the end it all came down to will power.

    I deliberately didn’t eat between when I got home from work and breakfast the next day for a few days. It was easier not to eat at all, rather than eat non-carbs! It helped break the cycle, so after a few days it was a little easier to avoid the after work carbs. After a week or so the carb craving disappeared completely – it just felt like a long week to get there!

    i am on a low carb diet and i find that eating more protein gets rid of my carb cravings. try sliced turkey, cheese, or nuts. (or bryers sugar free ice cream, it’s really good and low in net carbs).

    I guess its kinda like smoking a cigarette. Its hard to stop. And plus having all this delicious food surrounding you when you go shopping, its going to be even harder. Just control yourself, or try a patch. Best of luck. ; ]
